Rainbow Week At Dreamland
As part of Dreamlands Roller Coaster Festival, the world-famous seaside theme park is now hosting Rainbow Week! From the 5th – 11th August, celebrate all of the colours of Pride with fantastic, and super fun activities and events!
Celebrating Pride
With Thanet celebrating Margate Pride from the 6th August – 10th August, as part of Rainbow Week, Dreamland will be hosting Pride workshops so you can make banners, flags and decorate costumes all ready for the Pride Parade on the 11th August!
Dreamland is also hosting Mini Fashion Rebels Rainbow Pride T-Shirt screen printing! Learn how to screen print your own t-shirts with the Mini Fashion Rebels team, as they bring their DIY screen printing workshop to Dreamland. Learn how to screenprint and up-cycle your old t-shirt, and walk away with a fabulous, designed-by-you one-off! Don’t forget to bring your own t-shirt, and as well as being mega fun, this workshop is also firmly focused on being sustainable!
For The Little Ones
To keep the little ones entertained, Joey The Clown and Delilah Tickles will be performing a fun, family-friendly show, with amazing magic tricks to keep the whole family entertained! They will also be doing balloon modelling, party dancing and a drag performance from Delilah!
You’ll also have to be on the lookout for Dreamland’s park mascots, Teddy and Betty! They’ll be wandering the park and joining in on all of the wonderful rainbow fun!
If you’re little ones like getting their hands dirty, there’s also a slime making workshop! Get messy with Tootles and Nibs, and make your very own rainbow slime to take home.
Fun For All Of The Family
Dreamland is also hosting a fun-filled family rave! A magical two hours worth of Mums and Dads dancing and throwing shapes on the dancefloor with their little ones. With music from the ’80s and ’90s (and all played on vinyl!), it’ll be an evening filled with crazy dances and laughter.
The Scenic Stage will also be hosting an outdoor viewing of the Wizard of Oz and Spice World! Bring a blanket and some snacks and watch with those you love – ‘there’s no place like home!’.
With all of this and so much more, you’ll want there to be more time in the week! Don’t forget about all of the wonderful things in the Dreamland park as well! With loads of rides for all members of the family, a Roller Rink, the Tail Spin Café and the Octopus Gardens, what’s not to love?!
