Here on the Isle of Thanet in East Kent there are no less than seven fully accredited (by the British Council) Schools of English and many of our guests come to the area to study at one or other of them. To help you understand a little more about what each of them offers and how they differ, over time we’re going to focus a blog post on each. This post is about the Kent School of English
The Kent School of English (KSE) is the largest English School in the area, located at the very heart Broadstairs it is perfectly placed for those who want to immerse themselves in all the town has to offer.
The KSE offers four different courses for adult learners. Super Intensive 30, Super Intensive Combination, Super Intensive One-to-One or Intensive 21. Each can be tailored to your individual needs, depending on how much time you want to spend studying, your current ability with the English Language and what you hope to achieve in your time with the school. Courses vary in duration from one to four weeks and depending on the course you chose, you will never find yourself in a group of more than ten students.
Trips can be included but are optional, there is a mid week excursion to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury and on Saturday there is the option to take the school’s trip into Central London (guided or unguided).
The school is all about developing your confidence with the English Language, through teaming classroom based learning with social interactions. In this respect there is a strong emphasis on socialising, meeting new friends, having fun and challenging yourself in all that you have learnt.
Please click through the individual links above for the full details of each course or learn more by exploring the school’s website or getting in touch with them:
If you’re paying Broadstairs a visit from across the channel, with the idea of combining your vacation with a spot of studying to brush up on your English language skills, then let us, Beeches Holiday Lets, be the perfect base for your stay.
Providing quality self-catering accommodation just a stones throw from the centre of the town, whilst being just moments from all the great local travel links into London and across the whole of the South East, there could be no better place.
A self catering stay will allow you to join in as much or as little of your chosen school’s planned activities and social events as you would like, without the constraints of the homestay or B&B options that the school often offers. It will also give you some independence away from the structure of the school if you’d like to explore the area at your own leisure. Why not explore our other blog posts for some inspiration of things to do while you’re here.
